Game Comments: The Bulldogs of Bellwood Roosevelt faced off against the Eagles of Matteson Colin Powell in the Consolation game. Both teams traded baskets throughout the first quarter. Jalen Boyd of Bellwood Roosevelt got out to a quick start scoring 8 of his 26 points in the first quarter. Brandon Hurt answered with 8 points of his own in the first quarter for Matteson Colin Powell. Both teams moved quickly up the court to score baskets at will in the lane. Quick steals marked the defense of both teams and this led to a closely fought match-up. Both teams went into the half-time break dead even. The Eagles worked the clock in the third quarter keeping the scoring to a minimum. Heading into the fourth, the Eagles made the most of some missed shots of the Bulldogs. Hurt scored 6 points in the fourth quarter for the Eagles. It was Boyd that the Bulldogs turned to in the fourth quarter scoring 10 points. The Bulldogs capitalized on some late turnovers by the Eagles to tie up the score and push the game to overtime. In the overtime period, the Eagles controlled the clock and denied any move the Bulldogs tried to make in the lane. Hurt was the lone scorer for the Eagles in the OT period. Boyd finished the game with 26 points for Bellwood Roosevelt. Hurt finished the game with 19 points for the Eagles.

Congratulations to both teams on outstanding seasons!
