Game Comments: In the first match-up of the day, the Bruins of Peking Broadmoor met the Wolverines of Park Forest Forest Trail. Forest Trail got out quick on the Bruins moving quickly and dominating the boards. Broadmoor put on a late push in the first quarter and captured the lead. Vashawn Sims responded for the Wolverines in the second half. Sims was on fire and dropped in 11 points in the second quarter. The Bruins had a difficult time containing the Wolverines and went in to the half time break down by 10. The Wolverines opened up from beyond the three-point line in the third quarter. Marshon Baines and Joshua Roseborough both had a three-point basket in the third. The Wolverines kept up their offensive and defensive pressure in the fourth quarter and closed out the victory.
Sims finished with 19 points for the Wolverines. Skyler Coryell finished with 10 points for the Bruins.
