Game Comments: The Eagles of Paris Crestwood faced off against the Vikings of Peoria St. Vincent de Paul in the third quarterfinal match-up. The Vikings jumped out to an early lead in the first half, but the Eagles were able to keep the game within reach heading into the locker-room down 6.
In the second half both teams had a sluggish start, but the Eagles cut the lead to 1 point in the fourth quarter with 2 minutes to play. Austin Littleton for Crestwood drained a three to put the game within reach 33-32. Peoria was able to bring the lead back up to three on a jumper in the paint and then added to their lead on the free throw line. Paris fought hard on defense and had to foul to stop the clock, but the Vikings did their job and went 9-12 from free throw line in the fourth quarter.
Zack Burger was the leading scorer for the game with 16 points for Crestwood. Peoria had three player in double digits. Congratulations to both teams on a hard fought game. St. Vincent de Paul will play in the second semifinal game tonight.
