Match Comments: In the Championship match, the Indians of Lewiston Central faced the Eagles of Paris Crestwood. In the first set, Lewistown attacked the net with 2 kills and a block from Sydney Shaeffer. The Eagles answered with some outstanding defensive play that brought them within two points of Lewistown Central. The Indians cranked up the pressure at the net with Makyna Ebbert adding 3 kills near the end of the set. It was Shaffer who ended the set with an ace. In the second set, the offensive placement of attacks by the Indians put them up early. The Eagles battled back with great defense. It was a huge block by Sara Burger that swayed the momentum to the side of the Eagles. From there, the Eagles went on to tie the score at 9-9. An ace by Destiny Chapman put the Eagles up and they kept the momentum in their favor. Ebbert had several kills late in the set to cut the lead of the Indians and Camryn Baldwin's tough serving tied up the score. Two key blocks from Sarah Wells and Payton Block finished off set two for the Eagles. In the third and final set, Lewistown Central was again tough at the net. Ebbert had 2 kills and a block in the middle of the set to swing the momentum to the Indians. Grace Joseph had a kill and an ace to tie the score at 11 for the Eagles. It was Ebbert with another key block that turned the tide for the Indians. Shaeffer came in to the front row for the Indians and had 2 quick kills. The Eagles came up with an amazing defensive save to bring the score to 17-22. With match point hanging in the balance, both teams put up a great fight and the match ended with an incredible exchange showing the heart of both teams.

Congratulations to Paris Crestwood on an outstanding season. The Eagles finish the season 19-2.
