Match Comments: In the third quarterfinal of the day the Cougars of Paris Crestwood faced the Eagles of Paris Crestwood. The Eagles got out to a quick start behind the serving of Emma Pinkston. The Cougars answered with kills from Sarah Foster, Faith Washko, and Nina Williams. Their offensive attack cut the Eagle lead and put the pressure on. Pinkston answered with a well placed kill. Persistent defense from the Cougars put the ball back into the hands of Payton Nicoud who served up a couple of aces for the Christ the King. Grace Joseph edged the Eagles closer to ending the set with a touch kill. Anna Marriott closed the gap for the Cougars with back-to-back kills; but, it was Pinkston who ended the set with a kill for the Eagles. In the second set, it was the Eagles who again got out to an early lead. The Cougars struck back with kills from Marriott and Nicoud. Kennedy Weese cranked out 2 kills to extend the lead of the Eagles. Both teams traded points to tie the game up at 22 all. The Eagles went up after a kill from Weese and it was Weese who had the match ending kill for Paris Crestwood.
