Match Comments: In the final quarterfinal of the day, the Minutemen of Lexington took on the Broncos of Cerro Gordo. The Minutemen got some early momentum from their aggressive net play. In the first set, the Minutemen had kills from Elena Steffa, Hayden Standish, Laymen McGuire, Annika Cappis, and Tia Hardt. Megan Hart chipped in an ace for the Broncos to cut the lead of the Lexington to 5. The Minutemen responded with some tough serving from Hardt to finish out the first set. In the second set, the Minutemen took the lead early. Steffa and Standish combined for 8 kills in the second set. The Broncos rallied mid-set but tough net play put the ball back in to Lexington's hands. Standish had the final kill to close out the match for the Minutemen.
