Match Comments: In the Consolation match, the Panthers of Pekin Edison faced the Falcons of Springfield Franklin. The Panthers got out quickly and set-up a lead behind some aggressive net play. Hannah Thompson had 4 kills and Maddy Cash had 3 kills for the Panthers in the first set. The Falcons hung tough and worked their way back in to the set behind tough serving. Emma Bolinger had 4 service points and 2 aces in the first set for the Falcons. An ace from Megan Kelch set the Panthers up to close out the set. The second set was a back and forth battle. The net play of Franklin picked up and that kept the set close. Chyanne Conkrite and Amy Balster both had 2 kills for the Falcons. The Panthers fell back to the strength of their serving game to edge past the Falcons. Halle Stoller, Thompson, and Cash each had an ace in the final set for the Panthers. Halle Stoller led the Panthers with 8 service points. Emma Bolinger led the Falcons with 6 service points.
