The offensive firepower of the Cyclones was evident throughout both games, as Colchester West Prairie was able to keep the Patriots on their toes. The Cyclones were led by a strong showing from #16 Pema Zellmann, who contributed two aces as well as an impressive 15 service points in the two games. While the first game remained close till the final five points, the Cyclones asserted their will in game two, pulling ahead early. The Patriots, despite defeat, put on a strong showing much in part to #1 Rachel Wolf who contributed four service points. With the victory, Colchester West Prairie advances to the first semi-final contest of the day, as they await the winner of Danville Schlarman and Mt. Pulaski.
