These evenly matched teams battled it out the entire game. In the first set, Lewistown offense was led by middle hitter 12 Haley Jockisch and setter Sklyler Mikulich. The Dragons offense was led by by middle hitter 11 Holly Anderson and outside hitter 2 Melissa DuMontelle. Skleyr Mikulich took over the serve at 23-19 and served two straight aces to take the set. The second set saw the Dragons take an early lead. 2 Melissa DuMontelle brought the service back to Grant Park with a brilliant kill to the fat back corner for set point. The final set of the match was much of the same between these two teams. A balanced attack, good passing, smart net play occurred throughout the set for both teams. 1 Ashlee Duncan joined the attack for Lewistown with several key plays to give Central a boost. But DuMontelle kept Grant Park in the set with 2 crucial kills. Grant Park took the lead on several passing miscues by Lewistown. 4 Jennifer Goldenstern took over the serve for the Dragons at 23-22. She served off two straight points with one ace to give the Dragons the match. Congratulations to both teams on a great match and season.
