Match Comments: In The first semi-final match between Liberty Eagles and Roanoke-Benson Rockets, the Eagles came back with their stellar defense and balanced attack. In the first set the Eagles put forth multiple attacks from 4 diffent players. 11 Michaela Leapley and 30 Madelyn Hyer had big kills early in the set to give Liberty the lead. Roanoke-Benson serving was spot on early, but their defense couldn't stop the attack by the Eagles. In the second set, Liberty continued their dominance and quickly took the lead. The Rockets had a run late in the set on the net play of 12 Olivia Rossman, but it was too late. Liberty will play Tuesday night for their first 8-2A championship title. Roanoke-Benson will play in the third place match for their first 8-2A trophy.
