Game Comments: In the first Class 1A semi-final contest of the evening, the Hilltoppers of Danville Schlarman rode their explosive offense to victory against Springfield Christian by a final score of 46-24. Anaya Peoples continued her strong tournament performance, as the standout guard tallied 10 first quarter points, which aided the Hilltoppers's 34-12 lead entering halftime. Maddie Manker of Springfield Christian was also impressive, as she finished tied with Peoples with a game high 16 points. Even following a fourth quarter in which Springfield Christian managed to shutout Danville Schlarman, it was too little too late.

With the victory, the Hilltoppers of Danville Schlarman advance to the Class 1A State Championship game next Thursday night. They will take on the winner of tonight's second semi-final contest between Bourbonnais Maternity and Pana Sacred Heart. Springfield Christian will vie for the third place crown against tonight's runner-up.
