Game Comments: In the Championship game, the Raiders of Assumption Central A&M met the Cardinals of Pleasant Plains. The Raiders from Assumption came out firing from the gate. Their defensive pressure held the Cardinals scoreless in the first quarter. The Cardinals came alive in the second quarter behind the shooting of Ali Pankey who scored 5 of her 10 points in the second quarter. It was the hot hand of Abigail Hilton that extended the lead of the Raiders going into the halftime. Hilton scored 11 of her 13 points in the first half. Both teams settled in after the half. They traded baskets and steals throughout the third quarter. As the final minutes ticked away, the Cardinals did their best to overcome the early lead of the Raiders. The Cardinals were lead in scoring by Ali Pankey with 10 points and Shelby Craven with 6 points. The Raiders were lead in scoring by Abigail Hilton with 13 points and Mekah Maples with 8 points.
