Game Comments: In the second game, the Cardinals of Pleasant Plains met the Chargers of Peoria Christian. It was a well-matched first quarter with both teams trading baskets. The Cardinals stepped up their defensive pressure in the second quarter and opened up a lead. Alli Pankey scored 10 of her 20 points in the first half for Pleasant Plains. Both teams came out firing in the second half with a combined 22 points in the third quarter. Pankey and Regan Fitzgerald both scored 6 points in the third quarter for the Cardinals. Jordan Myroth cut into the lead scoring 13 points in the second half for the Chargers. Unfortunately, it was not enough to overcome the lead held by Pleasant Plains. Leading scorers for the Chargers- Jordan Myroth with 14 and Madi Fischer with 7 points. Leading scorers for the Cardinals- Alli Pankey with 20 and Regan Fitzgerald with 10 points.
