Both teams took a quarter to work out the championship jitters. In the second quarter they both found their rhythm and Rochester was able to take a two-point lead into the half. The start of the 3rd quarter saw the Rockets enlarge their lead with several fast break points that had Kingsley trying to catch-up. But the Cavaliers held close and were only 6 points behind heading into the 4th quarter. The combination of the pressure defense, fast break points and dribble penetration by the Rochester guards gave the Rockets the advantage and they held Normal Kingsley to 3 points in the fourth quarter. The Rockets were led by the post play of #55 Angela Perry who scored 17 points and was perfect from the foul line.
