It took both teams the entire first quarter to settle their nerves. Once the 2nd quarter started the Panthers played a tight defense and we led by #21 Rachel Pranger offense. Edwardsville held Mahomet-Seymour scoreless in the quarter and took an 11-5 lead at the half. In the third quarter the Bulldogs turned the tables on the Panthers and held them to 2 points while adding 5 of their own to cut the lead to 3, but the pressure defense and rebounding skills of Edwardsville were too much for the Bulldogs. Leading scorer for the game was Rachel Pranger of Edwardsville with 10 points. Congratulations to both teams on a great season.
