| Game Comments: The first semifinal matched up the Indians of Minooka and the Rockets of Rochester. The Rockets got a big lead early on from their swarming defense and even offense. #54 Katie Nika gave them a big push with 6 points in the first quarter. The Rockets added to their lead with 10 more points from multiple players in the 2nd quarter and held the Indians scoreless. The third quarter proved that the Rockets were not going to let up as they added 15 points to their total from 7 different players. Nika ended the game as high scorer with 9 points and Madison Faulkner was right behind her with 8 points. The Indians will play Thursday night for third place and the Rockets will play for their second 7-4A state title. The previously won the tournament in 2008. |
