| Game Comments: The Flanagan Falcons advanced to the semifinals of the 7th grade Class 1A IESA girls state basketball tournament with a 46-21 victory over the Bluestreaks of Martinsville. Flanagan improved their record to 15-10 and will now face the winner between Bourbonnais BVM and Jacksonville Our Saviour. The Falcons jumped out to an early 13-1 lead after one period and never looked back. They were led in scoring by Rachel Quaritsch with 11 points while Ashley Van Weelden and Korbin Collins each chipped in with 10 points. Martinsville closes their season with a 6-10 record. The Bluestreaks were led in scoring by Kate Kannmacher with 8 points. Congratulations to both teams. |
