Game Comments: In the Championship game, the Eagles of Matteson Colin Powell faced the Warriors of Cahokia Wirth. The Warriors got out to a quick start in the first quarter behind the shooting of Davis Johnson who had 6 points. The Eagles answered in late in the first quarter with an offensive run sparked by Thrice Rogers who had 6 points. In the second quarter, both teams traded baskets as they pushed the pace up the floor. The scoring pace stayed fairly even and the Warriors went into the halftime break with a slight lead on the Eagles. Both teams kept hot hands in the third quarter. Elijah Rice dropped in 7 points for the Warriors and Marvis Wilson scored 4 points for the Eagles. As both teams headed into the final quarter, the Warriors had a slight lead. Johnson and Rice led the scoring of the Warriors in the fourth. Wilson led the offensive charge of the Eagles in the fourth. The Eagles were led in scoring by Marvis Wilson 18 points. The Warriors were led by Elijah Rice with 25 points.
