Game Comments: In the first quarter-final of the day, the Junior Potters of Morton faced the Knights of Champaign Franklin. In the first quarter both teams tried to settle in trading baskets and defensive plays on both ends. Joshua Thompson led the offensive attack for the Knights in the first quarter with 4 points. The Junior Potters were led in scoring by Barik Olden who dropped in 7 points in the first quarter. The game continued to be a nail-biter in the second quarter. Eric Hanson lit up the 3 point line for the Potters burying 2 huge baskets in the second quarter. This put Morton up by one going in to the half-time break. The teams continued to stay even in the third quarter. Jarrett Crider picked up the scoring for the Junior Potters scoring 6 in the third quarter. Tortious Caston scored 4 points in the third quarter for the Knights to keep the game close as the teams went in to the fourth quarter. The Knights cut the lead of the Junior Potters late in the fourth quarter and solid shooting at the free throw line for both teams kept the score close. With a minute left in the game, the Knights took over the lead. Morton's last shot did not fall and time expired.

Congratulations to Morton JHS on an outstanding season!
