Game Comments: In the Consolation game the Terriers of Taylorville faced the Knights of Champaign Franklin. Franklin got out to an early lead in the first quarter. Payton Sheen led the Knights in the first quarter with 5 points. Taylorville started to get into a rhythm late in the first quarter and cut the lead to 4 behind the shooting of Ryan Hess who had 5 points. The Terriers had cut the lead to 4 points at the end of the first quarter. As the second quarter started, the teams traded baskets. Brandon Odam scored 5 points for the Terriers in the second. The Knights answered with four points a piece from Sheen and Tyreese McWilliams. The Knights closed out the first half with a slight lead. The Terriers exploded offensively in the third quarter scoring 21 points as a team. It was Nick Livingston who led the Terrier offensive charge in the third with 8 points. The Terriers were solid from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. The Knights made a late offensive run in the fourth quarter behind the shooting of Josh Thompson who had 7 points but it was not enough to close the gap. The Knights were led in scoring Josh Thompson and Payton Sheen each with 11 points. The Terriers were led in scoring by Ryan Ess with 13 points.

Congratulations to Champaign Franklin who finishes the season in fourth place with a record of 25-4.

Congratulations to Taylorville JHS who finishes the season in third place with a record of 25-2.
