Game Comments: In the second semi-final, the Terriers of Taylorville JHS faced off against the Warriors of Cahokia Wirth. It was an evenly matched first quarter with both teams working the interior. The Warriors dominated the boards in the first quarter and the Terriers controlled the ball well. Justin Wright led the Terriers with 4 points in the first quarter. Cortez Brown sunk 2 3 point baskets for the Warriors in the first quarter. The Warriors turned up the offensive pressure in the second quarter behind the continued scoring of Brown who had 12 points in the second quarter. The Terriers put together an offensive comeback late in the second quarter led by Nick Livingston. The Warriors continued to pressure the Terriers defensively and capitalized early on some quick score opportunities in the third quarter. Jack Livingston scored 6 points for the Terriers in the fourth quarter to try to close the gap. Solid free throw shooting by the Warriors helped them close out the victory. The Terriers were led in scoring by Justin Wright with 17 points. The Warriors were led in scoring by Cortez Brown with 23 points.

Taylorville will play in the Consolation game on Thursday.

Cahokia Wirth will play in the Championship game on Thursday.
