Game Comments: The Championship game was a well fought battle by both teams. The Dragons of Hillsboro faced off against the Trojans of Washington Central. The Trojans got out to an early lead getting inside the paint. Justin Ray scored 8 of his 24 points in the first half for Washington Central. Donovan Moore sparked a comeback for the Dragons in the second quarter dropping in 9 of his 21 points. Both teams went in to the halftime break tied at 20. Both teams continued with hot hands in the third quarter. Moore had 7 points for the Dragons in the third. Ray had 10 points in the third for the Trojans. Both teams went back and forth but the Trojans began to pull away late and closed out the third quarter with a 6 point lead. The Trojans stepped up their defensive pressure on Moore and held him to 3 points in the fourth quarter. The Trojans ran the clock and closed out the game. Moore finished the game with 21 points for Hillsboro. Ray finished with 24 points for Washington Central.
