Game Comments: In the first match-up of the game, the Tigers of Glasford Illini Bluffs met the Chieftains of Burr Ridge. It was a high scoring first half. Both teams shot well and found the basket from inside and outside. Lever Shields led his team in the first half scoring all 11 of his points in the first half. Cam Scott kept pace dropping in 9 of his 19 points in the first half for the Tigers. Tough defense kept the pace of the game moving and results in a great first half performance by both teams. There was never more than a 4 point lead for either team in the first half.

Coming out of the half, both teams kept up the defensive pressure. Burr Ridge looked for the long outside shot but had trouble connecting. Early in the fourth quarter, Illini Bluffs put up 6 unanswered points. Illini Bluffs put pressure in the lane and pushed the lead to 12 late in the fourth quarter. Burr Ridge continued to have trouble finding the basket as time expired.

This was an unbelievable game from start to finish. Scott led the Tigers in scoring with 19 points. Korey Burrell led the Chieftains with 13 points.

Glasford Illini Bluffs will play in the semifinals this afternoon.
