| Seventh-Grade Girls Volleyball State Tournament Set to Crown Four Champions

The Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) is excited to announce the upcoming Seventh-Grade Girls Volleyball State Tournament Series, which will crown champions in four classes for the 18th time in IESA history. Competitive action kicks off on Friday, March 13, and will conclude on Saturday, March 14, across four designated sites.
The tournament locations are as follows:
Class 1A: Clinton Junior High School
Class 2A: Brimfield High School
Class 3A: Warrensburg-Latham High School
Class 4A: Normal Kingsley Junior High School
The schedule is the same across all four tournaments. On Friday, the tournament will begin with four quarterfinal matches at 4:30 p.m. Semifinal matches are set for Saturday, starting at 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Championship and third-place matches will also take place on Saturday, with the third-place match starting at 2:00 p.m., followed by the championship match at 3:15 p.m.
Updates on each tournament’s playing status will be available on the IESA website, along with live score updates throughout the day at www.iesa.org.
Fans are encouraged to show their support for the athletes by attending the matches. Digital tickets are on sale for $8.00 per attendee per day via GoFan, with wristbands provided for Saturday’s attendees for entry at their designated site. Fans can access the IESA GoFan page at: www.iesa.org/gofan. For those unable to purchase tickets online, cash tickets will be available for $10.00 at the venue. Admission is free for children younger than kindergarten.
This marks the 49th year IESA has conducted State Championships in volleyball, with the inaugural tournament held in 1976. The state series has evolved over the years, transitioning from one-class competition to the current format of four classes for both seventh and eighth grades, introduced in 2007.
