IESA HeadlinesJackie Litwiller to Join IESA Staff as New Assistant Executive DirectorIllinois Elementary School Association Executive Director Nicole Schaefbauer has announced the hiring of Jackie Litwiller as the IESA's newest Assistant Executive Director. She becomes the ninth person to fill the administrative role which became vacant when Kristen D’Alfonso returned to the Morton school district.
"I am very excited Jackie will be joining the staff of the IESA," said IESA Executive Director, Nicole Schaefbauer. "Through the interview process, it was apparent that Jackie would bring both experience and enthusiasm to the position. Jackie has served in various roles within and at the IHSA level and that experience has provided her with a great foundation for understanding the role of the IESA in the interscholastic program of our member schools. Jackie has strong communication and organizational skills and is well respected by her colleagues. She is going to be a great addition to our staff."
Jackie attended Illinois State University where she graduated with a degree in Special Education and later earned her Master of Arts in Athletic Administration from Concordia University. She started her professional career at Morris Community High School developing and implementing curriculum. Litwiller then moved to the Olympia Community School District to serve as Assistant Activities Director. In addition to her director role, she also served as the Varsity Volleyball Coach. After leaving Olympia, Litwiller joined the IHSA staff and worked with the activities of football, wrestling, and baseball.
For the IESA, Litwiller will have administrative responsibility for the sports and activities of softball, cheer, volleyball, and music as well as other administrative duties. Nicole Schaefbauer |
