Tier 3 and Tier 2 Changes

As you know last Friday, the entire state was in Tier 3 mitigations. Friday afternoon, three of the 11 regions were moved to Tier 2. We had additional changes yesterday. We understand there are many questions concerning practices and games for both girls volleyball and boys basketball given all the changes to the many regions yesterday. We now have some regions in Phase 4, some in Tier 1, some in Tier 2, and we still have two regions in Tier 3. It makes it very difficult to give one update to cover everything when the state of Illinois is in such different classes of mitigations. We are working on trying to get a complete understanding of how this affects IESA sports and activities. As soon as we have all of the information we need to give the membership a full understanding of how we are moving forward, we will send an all-school email. Thanks for your patience.
