IESA Administrative Position Available

The Illinois Elementary School Association announces plans to appoint an Assistant Executive Director position to its administrative staff. The position will fill the current administrative vacancy.

This will be a full-time administrative position. General responsibilities will include the administration of IESA State Tournament Series in the activities of softball, girls basketball, boys basketball, and scholastic bowl along with other administrative duties assigned in the general operations of the Association. The following information should be considered:

1. The title of the position shall be Assistant Executive Director.
   
   
2. Applications will be accepted until April 24, 2017 and should be addressed to:

   The following should be included:

   1. Letter of application;
   2. Resume;
   3. Written statement (maximum one page) expressing the individual's desire and qualifications for the position;
   4. Names and contact information of three (3) personal references
   
   
   
3. The following shall be required qualifications of all candidates:
   1. Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university;
   2. Prior work experience as a teacher, coach, official/judge, and/or administrator;
   3. Well-developed communication, administrative, and organizational skills;
   4. Willingness to travel--mainly within Illinois and some national travel;
   5. Valid Illinois driver's license;
   6. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, the internet, and social networking programs
   
   
   
4. The following shall be recommended qualifications of all candidates:
   1. Familiarity with the Association;
   2. General knowledge of Association by-laws, rules, and policies
   
   
   
5. The total salary package will be commensurate with the experience and training of the selected candidate.
   
   
6. The candidate selected shall start July 3, 2017.
