IESA HeadlinesBoy's Volleyball State Series Contingent on 40 schools Committing by September 1, 2011In January 2011, the IESA Board of Directors passed a recommendation to conduct a state series in boy's volleyball during the 2012-13 school year contingent upon 40 schools committing to entering the state series by September 1, 2011. If 40 schools do not commit, then the implementation of the state series would be delayed until the 2013-14 school year, once again contingent upon 40 schools committing to participating in the state series by September 1, 2012. With the September 1 deadline date just a few days away, we need 10 schools to commit in order to move forward for the 2012-13 school year. Currently, the Association has 30 schools that have committed to the activity for the 2012-13 school year. Those schools are listed below. Should we not get those 10 entries by September 1, then we will delay the implementation until we get to 40 schools. Please know it is the intent of the Association to offer a boys' volleyball state series but without a sufficient number of schools entering a state series, then we cannot move forward. If you are interested in participating in boys' volleyball please contact the IESA office.
