IESA Headlines2011 IESA Bowling State TournamentStudents from Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) member schools will compete in the first ever Bowling State Tournament at Town and Country Lanes in Joliet on March 25 & 26. There will be 158 students who will make the trip to compete in the event this weekend. A complete list of participating schools can be found on the IESA Web site at http://www.iesa.org/activities/bo/entries.asp?Year=2011. The tournament will consist of a girls division and a boys division. All participants will compete in the first round on Friday and the second round on Saturday morning. Each bowler will complete three games in each round. The top 36 boys and top 36 girls will advance to the final round on Saturday afternoon. The awards ceremony will take place after the last round has completed on Saturday. Individual awards will be given during the ceremony. The first round on Friday is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. On Saturday, round two will begin at 8:30 a.m. The finals are scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Go to www.iesa.org. The price of admission Friday is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for seniors (62 and over) and students (K-8) and is good for all day Friday. Children younger than kindergarten are admitted free. The price of admission for the session Saturday will be $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors and students (K-8). Children younger than kindergarten again are admitted free. |
