The Class A State Tournament will be conducted at Normal Metcalf Laboratory School and the Class AA State Tournament will be conducted at Bloomington Junior High School. Competition for the eight teams advancing to each State Tournament begins at each site at 3:30 p.m. with the first of three rounds of pool play. Each pool involves four schools. Round two will be at 4:30 p.m. and Round three is at 5:30 p.m. The runners-up in each pool will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the third place match. The two pool winners will battle in the state championship match at 7:30 p.m. Only one team from last year's Class A field returns this year. Paris Crestwood, which went 1-2 in pool play last year, is in Pool B and meets Washington St. Patrick in its first pool match at 3:30 p.m. Paris Crestwood is making its second appearance in the State Tournament as is Washington St. Patrick. Three teams - Decatur Lutheran, Effingham St. Anthony and Flanagan - are competing in the Class A State Tournament for the third time. Three others - Avon, Columbia ICS and Rockford Holy Family - are making their first trip to the Class A State Tournament. Flanagan and Washington St. Patrick both have won the Class A crown.
