IESA Board Elections

Elections were recently held in Divisions D, J, M, and N for seats on the IESA Board of Directors. Results of those elections are now complete. In Division D, Dr. Charles Irwin, principal at Streator Northlawn, will be the new Board member. He defeated Dan Vaughan, 26-19. In Division J, Stan Fitzanko, principal at Pekin Edison will replace Bill Reising. Stan defeated two other administrators in Division J. In Division M, Craig Carr, Assistant Principal at Newton Central will replace Jay Hart who was appointed this year to fill the remaining one year term. In Division N, Ron Graham was re-elected. This means that there will be three new Board members next year and they are to be congratulated on their election. All votes will be canvassed by a Board committee prior to the next meeting. As a reminder, the next meeting of the Board is set for Friday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the IESA Office in Bloomington. The newly-elected members will be seated at the end of the June 7 meeting.
