Matthew SeftonBrownstown![]() Principal: When Matthew Sefton of Brownstown isn't spending time in his sports activities or on academics you might very well find him spending time with his cousin, Brady. He started helping his cousin show goats after Brady suffered a stroke during one of his 40 surgeries that left him partially paralyzed. It's Brady that Matthew says is the person he most admires. Matthew says his cousin was born with Nager's Syndrome. It's a body deforming condition so rare there are less than 100 documented cases. Matthew says Brady inspires him because he sees hope in everything. For Matthew, Brady also factors heavily into the accomplishment that makes him most proud of himself. He helped his cousin during the entire Fayette County Fair and was rewarded with the opportunity to show one of his goats. After studying and cramming about goat anatomy for three weeks, he ended up winning the Showmanship award at the Fair. |
