| Match Comments: La Harpe Starters: 24, 1, 23, 10, 7, 11. Chandlerville A-C Central Starters: 1, 21, 4, 9, 5, 15. Game 1: Chandlerville A-C Central came out smoking and rolled to a 6-1 lead using a kill from Carly Abbott and two from Madalyn Allen to build the 5-point lead. A-C Central went to a 9-2 lead before La Harpe could get another point. Back-to-back kills by La Harpe's Bali Campbell followed by an ace serve from Ashley Kerfoot brought La Harpe to within 16-8. A-C Central went to a 20-12 lead. La Harpe whittled away to pull within 22-19 on serves from Carter Wear. Ahead 24-22, A-C Central won the game when a spike by Courtney Cave rolled off the net and fell for the final point of the game. Game 2: This time La Harpe was the one smoking from the start. La Harpe got five straight serves for points from Bali Campbell and upped the lead to 9-2 on a block in the middle by Carter Wear. A kill by La Harpe's Bali Campbell put the lead at 13-7. Then A-C Central ran off 8 straight points with Brittany Stribling serving to take a 15-13 lead. The score was tied at 15 and 16 and then A-C Central took off to the win. A slap kill by Carly Abbott gave A-C Central a 20-16 lead and then she got a block for a 21-16 lead. A left side kill by Madalyn Allen moved A-C Central on top 23-16. Allen got another kill for a 24-16 lead. After La Harpe got two quick points with Carter Wear at the net, A-C Central's Madalyn Allen took a perfect cross court fee and blasted home a cross court spike for the game winning point. |
