Match Comments: Seneca Starters: 4, 25, 14, 23, 18, 24. Dieterich Starters: 22, 23, 7, 10, 25, 24. Game 1: Seneca led 17-10 when Dieterich went on a run to cut the deficiit to 17-14. Dieterich's Brittney Niemerg servd for those points, including two aces. With Seneca leading 18-16, Dieterich's Brandi Orsborn took over at serve. She served for five straight points to give her team a 20-19 lead. Kills by Dieterich's Miranda Goodman made it 23-19 in favor of Dieterich, which went on to win 25-20. Game 2: The score was tied at 4, 6, 7, 12, 13, 21 and 22. Seneca's Vanessa Albarran served and Dieterich's Brandi Orsborn hit into the net for a 24-22 Seneca lead. The two teams then traded sideout points until Seneca won 26-24. The lead changed hands four times during the game. Game 3: Seneca took the lead for the first time at 7-6. An ace serve by Dieterich's Brittney Niemerg cut the deficit to 11-10. Seneca got a kill from Alexis Magnant and then an ace serve for a 13-10 lead.Dieterich's Brandi Orsborn hit long on a kill for a 14-10 Seneca lead, but Orsborm came back with two service points to cut the deficit to 14-12. A block by Seneca's Vanessa Albarran for a 16-12 leead and teammate Teresa McIntrye served for a pair of points and an 18-12 lead. Trailing 21-14, Dieterich got an ace serve from Alexis Teichmiller and then three straight blocks for ppoints from Miranda Goodman to narrow the gap to 21-18. Seneca's Lydia Ryder served an ace for a 23-18 lead and Vanessa Albarran clinched the win with a power kill down the middle for the 25-18 final margin.
