The Cardinals got out to a quick start in the first quarter behind the scoring of Leon Brown who dropped in 6 points. In the second quarter, St. Joseph looked to Brandon Trimble who capped the second quarter with 9 points. This brought the Panthers to within 6 points going in to the halftime break. Pleasant Plains came out with quickness on both the defensive and offensive ends in the beginning of the third quarter. As the fourth quarter opened, the Panthers found a renewed energy behind the shooting of Trimble who had 10 points in the fourth. Unfortunately, it was not enough to catch the Cardinals as time ran out. Trimble ended the game with 17 points for the Panthers. Brown finished with 13 for the Cardinals. St. Joseph will play in the Consolation game on Thursday.
