| There are so many opportunities in cross country to witness good sportsmanship from simply hearing other athletes not only cheer on their own runners but also cheer for the other team/runners to finish their race.
Shout out to three young ladies from Beecher JHS who went out of their way for a struggling runner from another team!

I believe the value of sportsmanship comes from the way you learn to conduct yourself as a person and as an athlete- whom others are watching and when they are not, when you are competing and when you are not, when you are winning and when you are not. This is why learning to show sportsmanship is important.
