Match Comments: The final quarterfinal match-up had the Trojans of Maroa-Forsyth take on the Raiders of Robinson nut tall. Both teams made their debut appearances at 7-3A state. The Trojans setter #4 Carly Mason gave Maroa 5 quick points to start the match and had 11 total service points for the first set. Mason helped lead the Trojans to the first set, taking advantage of the miscues by the Raiders. The second set was a reverse of the first. Robinson settled down and was able to run their offense as they took advantage of the mistakes by Maroa-Forsyth. #27 Audrey Maxwell had 9 consecutive service points to help win the second set for the Raiders. The Raiders were led at the net by #24 Malia Gunn who had several kills and blocks to help win the second set. The set ended on a big block by #7 Amy McGahey. After the break, the Trojans came out in the final set fired up. #3 Morgan Thatcher served 10 strait points to give the Trojans a 12-1 lead that they would never relinquish. #15 Hannah Rudsinski also had 7 service points for Maroa-Forsyth.
Congratulations to both teams on a great season. Maroa-Forsyth will play Beecher at 5:15 in the final match of the day.
