Game Comments: The first quarter-final of the day featured the Mustangs of Colfax Ridgeview and the Eagles of Liberty. The press of the Eagles frustrated the Mustangs early in the first quarter. Liberty got out to the early lead. Ridgeview settled down late in the first quarter and built a lead on the Eagles. In the second quarter a big three from Grace Ward put the Mustangs up and Ridgeview went in to the halftime break with a four point lead. The Eagles outscored the Mustangs in the third quarter behind the shooting of Taryn Roe. The Eagles tightened the difference in the second quarter. Free throw shooting became critical as time ticked off the clock. The Eagles took the lead with a minute left in the game. The Mustangs came up with two big shots at the line to tie the score. The Mustangs tenacious defense gave them the opportunity to go up with 30 seconds left. They hung on to the lead as time expired.
