Game Comments: Jacksonville Our Saviour defeated Decatur Our Lady of Lourdes, 33-32, in a highly entertaining, well played semifinal game of the 7th grade Class 1A state tournament. Our Saviour will take their 21-1 record into Thursday night's championship contest while the Lancers of OLOL (21-2) will play for third place. The contest was close throughout as the Shamrocks led by two after one period only to see OLOL take the lead by two at intermission. Sydney Walker led Our Saviour with 17 points but it was Addison Parlier, Lacy Schierl, and Chloe Woodridge who led the way in the in the third period. Parlier and Schierl each had crucial 3 point baskets in the 3rd quarter and Woodridge scored all four of her points in the period to help the Shamrocks take a 28-24 lead into the fourth quarter. Our Saviour did not score a basket in the 4th quarter as MaKenzee Snow for OLOL scored four of her team high 10 points in the stanza to help the Lancers take the lead. Schierl made two big free throws late in the 4th quarter for the Shamrocks to help them hold off the Lancers. Good luck to both teams on Thursday.
