Game Comments: In the first semi-final of the night, the Dragons of Hillsboro faced the Spartans of Dunlap Valley. The first quarter was low scoring for both teams with tough defense on both sides of the court. Samantha Matoush scored a three-point basket in the second quarter to extend the lead for the Dragons. The Dragons came out of the half-time with their eyes on the basket. Aubrey Rupert put up 4 of her 9 points in the third quarter for the Dragons. The Spartans tried to rally in the fourth putting up 4 points from the field. The Dragons relied on their free-throw shooting to close out the game.
Dunlap Valley will play in the Consolation game on Thursday.
Hillsboro will play in the Championship game on Thursday. |
