Game Comments: The Eagles of Paris Crestwood defeated the Odell Rams 33-18 to secure a spot in the championship game of the 7th grade Class 2A tournament. Crestwood remains perfect on the season at 20-0 and will face Mendon Unity in a battle of unbeatens for the championship trophy. Odell falls to 22-1 and will play for 3rd place against Mt. Olive. The Eagles jumped to a 13-1 lead after one quarter and Odell could never overcome the early deficit. Only two players scored for Odell, Erinn Hodges and Charlotte Somodi who each scored 9 points. Crestwood had more balanced scoring and was led by Hannah Volkmann who scored a game high 16 points. Crestwood will be seeking its 6th seventh grade title and the 1st Class 2A title since the inception of the 4 class system in 2006. Good luck to both teams on Thursday night.
