| Game Comments: The Odell Rams defeated Peoria St. Philomena in the 4th quarterfinal game of the day and in doing so set the stage for what is believed to be a first in the history of the IESA--all four teams remaining in this year's 7th grade class 2A tournament are undefeated. This insures that the champion of this year's tournament will have an undefeated season. The combined record of the four remaining teams as they head into semifinal play is an amazing 102 wins and zero losses! Odell trailed 7-6 after the 1st quarter but in the next two quarters they outscored the Tigers 22-9 to seize control of the game. Erin Hodges led the Rams with 13 points while Charlotte Somodi added 10 points. St. Philomena closes out their 7th grade season with an 18-4 record. They were led in scoring by Sloan Reynolds who had 8 points. Odell (22-0) will now face Paris Crestwood (19-0) in the second semifinal game at 6:30 p.m. Congratulations to both teams on a well played game. |
