Game Comments: The Wildcats of Bourbonnais Maternity BVM will play for the 8th grade Class 1A state title after defeating Jacksonville Our Saviour 43-32 Saturday evening inside Vern Woosley Gymnasium at Bartonville Limestone High School. The Wildcats will face Cissna Park for the right to hoist the championship trophy while the Shamrocks will play Peoria Limestone Walters for third place starting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19. Maternity used a steady half court game to gain control of the game as they converted 7 out of 10 free throws I the 4th quarter to seal the victory. Leading the way for the Wildcats with 14 points was Payton Gerberding while the Shamrocks were led by Tyler Minor with 9 points. Good luck to both teams on Thursday.
