Game Comments: The Chieftains of Burr Ridge MS captured 3rd place in the IESA 7th grade Class 2A tournament Thursday night with a 48-33 victory over Ottawa Wallace. Burr Ridge closes out their season with a 26-2 record while Wallace closes out their campaign with 19 wins and just 4 losses. This game was pretty much controlled by Burr Ridge from the opening tip as they jumped to a 12-6 lead after the first period and extended the lead to 25-16 at the half. The quickness of the Chieftains caused problems for the Warriors most of the game. Three players from Burr Ridge scored in double figures--Jason Williams led the way with 13 points while Aaron Tims scored 11 and Chamill McGee knocked home 10 points. Zander Gaul led the way for Wallace with a game high 17 points. Congratulations to both teams on outstanding seasons.
