The Blueboys set a quick pace early in the game through swarming defense and a fast-paced offense. The guards of Carthage were quick to get down the floor. Connor Artman scored 5 of his 16 points in the first quarter alone. The Blueboys continued to build on their early lead behind the shooting in the paint from Kennedy Gooding. Gooding scored 13 points in the first half. Carthage carried a sizable lead into the halftime break. The Scotties came out of the locker room motivated. They steadied out their offensive rhythm and came alive beyond the 3-point arc. Kade Thomas, Jaden Jones-Watkins, and Brandon Henson all contributed 3-point baskets that sparked the Scotties. Time ran out for Fisher and the Blueboys took home the win.
