Sterling Brown County. Metcalf got out to an early lead behind their tenacious press and sharp shooting. Mark Widdel scored 11 of his 19 points in the first half. Joe Hendricker kept the Hornets in the game early draining two 3-point shots. Ryan Jacob answered for the Wildcats by contributing two three-pointers of his own for the Wildcats. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets caught fire and protected their nest behind the three-point barrage of Tanner Sussenbach. Sussenbach drained four three-point baskets in the second half to bring the Hornets within 6 with 3:28 left in the fourth quarter. The Wildcats were solid down the stretch hitting clutch free throws. Mark Widdel finished with a team high 19 points for the Wildcats. Darian Drake led the Hornets with 16 points. Congratulations to both teams.
