The Lancers stormed out of the gate early with a balanced attack from Amari Morgan, Dontory Lewis and Taquan Sims. Each of them put in two baskets during the first quarter. Defense for both teams stepped up in the second quarter. The Lancers would still hold an 11 point lead going into the half. Brandon Ramsey tried to get the Pioneers going in the third quarter with two baskets of his own. Brian Walker would answer with a three pointer to help the Lancers stay in front. The Lancer defense would prove to be too much.
