Game Comments: The first semi-final game pitted the Trojans of Elmwood against the Bruins of springfield Blessed Sacrament. The teams did battle in the for the entire game. Elmwood saw scoring from multiple players and the Bruins defense swarmed the court. Their unrelenting defense and press never let up for the entire game. Isiah Groeper really turned it on in the second half of play. He was leading scorer for the game with 37 Points; 26 of which came in the second half. Blessed Sacrament had a balanced attack with 4 players in double digit. #23 Michael Oh had 13 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter going 7 for 8 from the free throw line. Elmwood will play for their third consecutive trophy in the third place game on Thursday. Blessed Sacrament will play for their first state title on Thursday in the championship game. Good luck to both teams. |
