Match Comments: The first semifinal of the day pitted the Hardin St. Norbert Wolves against the Hartsburg-Emden Stags. In the first set, Kaylee Beekman helped the Stags early on with an ace on her first serve. The Wolves struggled to get a rhythm going in the first set. Steph Herren tried to keep the Wolves in the set with her three service points. The Stags were just too much and go on to take the first set 25-12. It was all Stags in the second set. Alexis Huffman had six straight service points to get the Stags off to another great start in the second set. Faith Maag got the Wolves going early on with an ace. The Stags would prevail by the same score in the second set as the first set, 25-12. The Stags move on to the state championship game on Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m. The Wolves will play for third place 5:30 p.m. Congratulations to both teams on a terrific game.
