Match Comments: What a way to start of championship night. The West Salem Warriors met the Hardin St. Norbert Wolves to decide the third place trophy. The Wolves were the ones to attack first. They would jump out to the lead in the first set behind the great serving of Emma Baalman. She would also have two aces during her seven service points. That would help the Wolves take the first set by a final score of 25-19. It was the Warriors turn in the second set. Maddy McKinney was tremendous in the set with a stretch of four straight service points to give her team control of the set. The Warriors would take the second set by a final score of 25-15. It was only fitting that this one should go the distance. The last set was tight all the way down to the end. The Warriors had Sarah Mewes and her serve would win the match for the Warriors by a final score of 25-22. Congratulations to both teams on a terrific season.
